Short bio
Paulius Šaparnis is a creative developer and interactive artist in Vilnius, Lithuania. He makes interactive light installations and screen games for festivals, cities and brands: facades, LED screens and big TVs that crowds play from their own phones, with no app.
Longer bio
He writes the software and builds the installations himself, with collaborators when needed. Blocks turned the glass-block wall of Vytis Gymnasium into nine falling-blocks games at Vilnius Light Festival 2025 and is invited to Llum BCN, Barcelona, in February 2027. Ping Pong, made with Aleksandr Voronovič, put three ping pong courts on the facade of the Contemporary Art Centre at Vilnius Light Festival 2026. Earlier works include the Bus Synthesizer (2022), a retired bus in Panevėžys played as an instrument, and Animated Glowing Stained Glass (2024). In 2014 he founded IŠKROVOS, an arts and music festival in Panevėžys, and still directs it.
