Your turn. Move to play.

I build games your crowd plays on a building or a screen, from their own phones. No app. For festivals, launches, stands and conferences. 12 blocks, then the real wall.

Creative developer and interactive artist, Vilnius

Paulius Šaparnis. I turn watchers into players in ten seconds.

Playable installations for festivals, cities and brands: facades, LED screens and big TVs that crowds play from their own phones.

Vilnius Light Festival 2025 and 2026. Blocks has been invited to Llum BCN, Barcelona, February 2027.

Played on buildings

Two winters at Vilnius Light Festival, two interactive facade games on buildings that were never meant to be screens. All work

Played from their own phones

A QR code near the building opens the game in the phone’s browser. No app, no download. Visitors join a live queue, and when their turn comes the phone is the controller and the building is the screen.

Festival pieces like these: from about €5,000. About six weeks from go-ahead to opening. For a launch, a stand or a conference, every project is priced individually. Where should it play?

Not just facades

The same approach works as a light or sound object, and on LED screens and big TVs. Light and sound are on film here, screens in photos.

Light objects

Animated Glowing Stained Glass. Panevėžys Wedding Palace and Culture Palace, 2024

Light for existing architecture: stained glass in two Panevėžys buildings, animated with light after dark. The glass is by Kazys Morkūnas and G. L. Baginskienė; my part is the light. I also build objects that glow and respond to the people around them.

LED screens and big TVs

Live message wall at band concerts. Stages, stands, lobbies and launches

The audience scans the code on the stage, writes on their own phones, and the messages appear on the screen during the concert. A big TV in a lobby or on a stand works the same way.

450 messages sent to an LED screen in 15 minutes, at a band concert (approx.)

Can it run on your screen? Usually yes. Send me the screen’s size and resolution, and I will tell you what fits.

The wall at the top of this page is a screen too: scan its code and your phone is the paddle. Back to the wall

Where should it play?

Pick the nearest. It is noted on the form, and a name and an email are enough to send. From a few lines I work out an idea and a price.
